Catalog file naming

So now that I have realized that you have designed an extra editable field called "Volume label", I wonder if you had a special purpose for it?

(I know that the volume name is burnt in the CD/DVD; so that would be non-editable.)

The only other variable part under the user's control is the catalog file name. I use it organize my collection of CDs/DVDs, as follows:
1. I name the catalog file names after the contents. For example, "Hobbies-nn", "Utilities-nn" etc. Where nn is a running number (separate for each series).
2. I also store the CDs/DVDs in separate albums, in the "nn" number order, so correlating them with the VCD data is easy.

If that can be made more efficient, I'd certainly like to learn the trick! :)

Thanks in advance!

I've wondered the same thing...I noticed you quoted part (or all) of the user's msg, Boozet, but I did not see an answer. Is it in another thread?

Thanks for a reply and a great cataloger...I have ditched SuperCat and am getting used to VCD.
